NASA: A Legacy of Discovery
As a massive space nerd, it was obvious that I needed to make an infographic poster that commemorates our nation’s space administration. Excited by the prospects of a new burgeoning space race, both on the world and commercial side, a look at what started our first steps into the unknown was pursued. Since NASA has the most successful track records for space exploration, It was only befitting to awe over their triumphs.

Focusing on where NASA has been, the poster balances the visualization of data and descriptions. The main draw is the planetary missions heat map that relays both the amount of missions sent and the proliferation of discovery that reaches to the farthest regions of the solar system. A column on the right details the most famous mission to each planet. Using a grid, typography, and clear hierarchy, a dense amount of information was wrangled into a powerful poster.
